If You Tell a Lie by Lucinda Berry

I couldn’t put this down, read it in one sitting!!

Have you ever wanted to throw a book and throat punch a FMC!! I’ve read enough of Lucinda’s books that I thought I knew what I was in for…yeah I didn’t. I suspected some of the plot twists but absolutely nothing prepared me for the end and the mind of a pure sociopath.

This is not a hea so if that’s your vibe this isn’t for you. If you’re looking to have your flabbers ghasted and think you’re the dang liar by the end of this and possibly throw your book across the room, then this is for you!

I’m not sure what Meagan puts in her books but they’re literally literature crack! I’ve literally eaten up everything she’s written and I’m not satisfied yet! Cannot wait for the next book!

Parker has always been a fave of mine and I’m so glad to have finally read his book! If you’re looking for a complete golden retriever, wholesome MMC look no further!

I can honestly say this is the best shifter romantasy I’ve ever read!

Fated/rejected mates, friends/to enemies/to lovers, knotting 🫢 witches, and betrayal!

When Avery was shunned out of her pack with her 2 sisters after her father challenges the pack alpha after her mother mysteriously goes missing, she is left to just survive and take care of her sisters on her own. After she almost poisons herself can she trust a witch to help her navigate the forest and all that it could provide?

Her once best childhood friend and alpha of the pack has just openly rejected their true mate bond in front of the entire pack, but is that what he really wants? Will he even be able to grovel enough to win her affections back all while fighting betrayals within his pack?

I truly hope we get a second book, while this wrapped up Avery and Cadens story beautifully I would love more about the witches and missing pack members! Do they find their mothers, what happened to them?

Alphas Burden was fast paced and literally had me up until 3am because I couldn’t put it down!

First of all thank you so much to Alina May for allowing me to read this as an arc 🫶

If you read Better Hide I know you felt like me and just wanted more! More of Jayden and Cole’s history as well as Jo’s past trauma, well Alina gave it to us!

First of all, check your TW’s this is not a beginner level dark romance read, and also remember this is fiction and consent is a must always. Now that’s out of the way…

In Better Run we left off with Cole and Jayden finding Jo again, or should I say she pretty much wanted to be found by them lol. Better Hide picks up right where we left off. There’s so much character building in this book. I initially was not a Cole fan but I can truly say I fell in love with him in this book! You also get to meet Onion Powder, iykyk 🫢 You get a look back at what led to the events that happened in Better Run, as well as some new fucked up tactics Jayden and Cole choose to use on Jo…don’t worry pretty sure she loves most of them…😅. Better Hide truly wrapped up this duet so perfectly. Now that my 3 babies are happy at the end of this I feel like I can rest in peace lol! Can’t wait to read whatever Alina’s crazy mind can bless us with next, and I’m here for every word of it!

Also, you’re going to want Mac&Cheese by the end of this book...
