Have you ever read a book that had you smiling.. not just ear to ear, but deep in your heart and soul, a smile so radiant you could swear pure sunshine was pouring straight through you!? This book did that for me.

It's true, I've stayed up past midnight.. usually with a restless toddler or teething baby. Last night was the first night in over 7 years that I stayed up past midnight on my own volition. It was worth it. I couldn't stop reading, I HAD to know what would happen to the "Marsh Girl". I sobbed deep heavy tears of understanding for this woman. Real as my children in front of me. This book has earned it's many spots on bestseller lists. It will stay with you in all the best ways.
Where the Forest Meets the Stars by Glendy Vanderah

"Where the Forest Meets the Stars" by @glendyvanderah is lead by main character Joanna Teale, who goes by Jo. But the true driving force of this story, is mysterious young Ursa.. who claims to have come from the stars. The way she grabs at your heart and intertwines the people she meets; is both intriguing and magical. The setting and how the characters are unwrapped one piece at a time, layers throughout to create a beautiful nest of story by the end with heart at the center.
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate

Much like the kids I've met volunteering through the foster care system; the children in "Before We Were Yours", by @author_lisa_wingate will stick to my heart as sap sticks to a tree. Forever held tight there, solidifying and becoming one with my being. Trying to see into the depths of the atrocities committed against children, is like trying to see through the water in a storm; ever changing direction, constant and deep. Yet somehow, Mrs. Wingate shared this story with so much love and hope, I wasn't focused on the wrongs committed. Instead I'm left with a smile and a sense of courage to face anything.. much like Rill, my new heroine. Please add this title to your book lists, you won't be disappointed. ❤️
Imaginary Friend by Stephen Chbosky

Woah.. closing the last page of this book #imaginaryfriend published by @grandcentralpub left me with a shiver crawling up my arms. Gloriously terrifying and PERFECT for a scary October read. I very much enjoyed how #stephenchbosky really developed the characters and gave them life, which often times is neglected in horror/thriller novels. I also appreciated how he keep it scary and gory without becoming grotesque. Once that line is crossed a story becomes less thrilling and just disgusting. Mr. Chbosky balanced his writing perfectly and left me wanting more!!
P.S. I'll never look at a treehouse the same way!
Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid

I LOVED this book by @kileyreid for so many reasons.. but mostly for highlighting the little nuances in a person (and society), that can seem good natured, but are in actuality self serving.
This is a meaningful story about finding oneself, and seeing the verity of those around us. Much like realizing for the first time that not everyone has the same truth as you, and how to maneuver that reality.
I felt complete at the end. ❤️

I never could have imagined that reading essentially the same story in three different ways, could remain so.. captivating. With talent and skill @stephenie_meyers has accomplished just that, three captivating reads that left me enthralled.
#twilight had me falling in love. #lifeanddeath had me wrapped in a warm embrace like seeing an old friend after a long time. #midnightsun had me on the edge of my seat!!! I truly hope the saga is continued.

Jenn shows her heart and soul in this book, Jubilee, it was beautiful and made me exercise my brain in a good way. Not an easy read, but I'm glad for that. It had a sophistication in the writing that isn't as common anymore, with beautiful blends of poetry throughout.. I loved it. I devoured this book in just a few short days, between diaper changes, cooking, cleaning, and staying up too late.. I couldn't put it down. Could definitely become a classic and possibly even required reading.

"The Guest List" by @lucyfoleyauthor
Woah.. I mean woah.
I did not see that coming!
Yes! Thank you for writing a mystery novel that actually had mystery in it's story.
I LOVED this book. The layout, the characters, the imagery, PERFECT. Definitely kept me guessing and on the edge of my seat. If you're looking for a quality "who done it", I highly recommend you pick this up.
