This book is insane in the fact that for at least 80% of it, the author is still opening up new story lines!! MIND YOU THE BOOK IS 600 PAGES??!?! Like i’m sorry but I think at like at least 65% you need to stop introducing new storylines. He did close them all up at the end but the way he did it was just, meh. Like wtf????

I will also say there is talks about Palestine and Israel in this book from the perspective of an Arab man, whose wife was killed by an Israeli bomb.

This book was amazing, but Tiffany will pay for her crime of not giving me a set ending with Kenny and Maddy!!!! I understand it’s insane to want a happy ending for them. But so often black characters are not allowed to get one! All I wanted was to KNOW FOR SURE that they are with her mom and happy together!

I refuse to give SJM 5 stars anymore off of the whole Breonna Taylor post, but I will say this book got as close as I think any of her books will get to 5 stars for me again!

This book does an excellent job of building up you curiosity and adrenaline in my opinion. You come to feel for the characters so much that when something happens to them it feels as if your there with them!

I think out of the first two books this one could really be considered a mystery/thriller type of book! There are alot of things your trying to solve and figure out from the first book that get resolved here. But even thought they are resolved they open up their own can of worms.

Truly think this series is far better than ACOTAR which is subjective but I personally feel it is a fact. I don’t know for sure yet (cause I have stayed away from spoilers) but I feel like this series and ACOTAR are set in the same world.

Just amazing! So cute and sweet but also real and spicy! Talia does an excellent job of making realistic characters with real issues but also give them the same qualities other romance books have! She has also become an instant buy author for me now😩!!

This book is amazing. If your looking for something that is a realistic take on what would happen to women in the event that the world collapsed,  this is for you. It’s not an easy read because it is pretty graphic but I couldn’t put it down once I started reading it.

The beginning was slow and I mean sllllooooowwwww, like the first 25%! But then it picks up! I liked the world building and the characters. You do have a chance to build some care and emotions around them especially the MC!

This book is so teeth achingly sweet! I cried a little because I truly wished these types of books with people who look like me were available when I was a teenager. I never touched teen romance books when I was that age cause no one really looked like me. But Talia does such an amazing job of writing black characters that don’t have to go through a struggle because they are black.

The characters are very lovable and have a lot of growth in the book. Both of them in different ways remind me of myself and I think can do that for so many people. Which is an amazing thing about this book!

Even if you aren’t the “target demographic” I would still recommend this book to everyone. It was so well written and easy to read! Very fun lighthearted novel if your looking for a book to read in between series or as a palette cleanser!

It was a good book! It’s slow until you get the twist and then it’s fast paced after that! Most of the things that happen in the book get resolved, but there is one thing that’s left unresolved but not in a way that makes you angry. More in a way that just makes you tense to know what happens or tense to even guess what could have happened.
