this books was just okay for me, I picked this book up because the synopsis sounded amazing but while I was reading it I got bored a lot and saw my self skim reading (I normal don't do that). so just let start of by the beginning the first few chapters I did enjoy, we see how our main character is doing and what happend I found it even sad that her mom died and her dad is out of the picture. till the point of murder I thought this was going to be a 4 star read but then it got boring, I think solving the murder case was not done right. I had hopped that we were solving with cecelia but it wasn't I even got sometimes confuses about what just happens or what she found out. the ending was quite good there were some plot twist I didn't suspect so that made it very fun.

I am happy that I enjoyed this book in the folk of the air serie, after the first book the cruel prince I what I rated 3 stars, because I found it not worth the hype. I was scared to continue reading the serie. but from a lot of people I have heard that the serie is getting better after the first book. and those people were right this book is way better than the first one.
this book starts a few weeks later were we left off in the cruel prince and right from the get go were thrown into action and politics what I enjoyed, we had a little bit of time to catch up with the character we followed in book one. in this book I got more sucked into the world and I enjoyed it much better I found the under water world with the merman very exited and intresting, not only found I the world building better I found the writing style way better than book one, it is fast and I got into the story immediately.
with the character I have little bit a mixed feeling, I enjoyed them but sometimes it left me frustrated
i do very much like Jude but find here kind of annoying during the book, she is a good main character but most of the time I got irritated. I enjoyed Cardan in this book more but he isn't the guy I am interested in for a small time I enjoy his brother more :)
Overall the Cruel Prince is a strong second book definitely stronger than the first. It really develops on what was established in book one, but brings everything into a much larger scale, and raises the stakes so much. I am for sure going to continue the series but I think that will happen in 2023!

**spoiler alert ** This is the first book I read by Elizabeth Scott even when this book is out for more than 10 years. but last week I put it up on my tbr to read it. it sounds important to have read this book. and it was for me an important read. you should read the trigger warnings before you start the book, because there is a lot of abuse and assault. what I found interested while reading this book was that if you become an certain age he kills his kidnapped children and get a new one. so you follow Alice through the book searching for the new child but she is aware that he will kill her when she found one
this book was very intense so that made it harder to judge the book. I hated the ray so much how can he think he knows how to protect children and threat them with killing there parents and family, and also what made me mad was that if he saw someone doing something wrong to their child he say that they should be reported while he is the one abusing alice and rapping her.it's sad that Alice have grown up with him, she was taken away when she was 10 and now she 15.
the ending was okay I think why I didn't gave it a 5 star rating is because of it. it was simple it just ended and that is how it was intend but I would have loved a little bit more to wrap it up nicely.

we start December strong! young adult thrillers are always hard for me to read most of the time it isn't scary and shocking for me. the books I did enjoy in this genre were a good girls guide to murder serie and any book by karen m mcmanus. and the girl in the headlines made me feel the same way as those books.
Teens will love this mystery about a teen who wakes up after her 18th birthday to learn her parents have been murdered and her little brother is missing. Andi can’t go to the police because she is the number one suspect in the murder. With the help of Nate, the teen who works the front desk at the motel she was dumped in, Andi vows to rescue her brother and get to the bottom of what happened to her parents. it's suspenseful fast to read.
mabey I did kind of predict the person who has done it from the beginning but it didn't matter in this book, it isn't a favorite of the year but it comes close and it's for sure a 5 star read. can not wait to see what for other books the author has!

I just found out that there is a graphic novel in the shadow of bone series! And this book is stunning I fell in love with shadow and bone series this year (haven’t yet see the Netflix series, I want to read the six of crow’s duology first) and I just knew that I should read the graphic novel. I loved to read about the past from the darkling and I just love this world I wished there were more books in the shadow and bone series!
Erebos 2 by Ursula Poznanski
5.0
Erebos awakens
In the second book they continued their normal life for 10 years.
Until one day the Forest of Honor appeared on the phone of players. These players are some known and also new students. This time the game is more dangerous than ever. It listens with you and sees what you are doing. So it finds out more quickly that you are doing something that you shouldn't.
The game also continues to take place on the computer but looks different it seems that the colors are not right. The game goes so far that youngsters run away from home and write suicide letters for an assignment they have to do. Nick himself has to deal with the game by not doing what Erebos says he doesn't want to do as a result of which his photographs taken for a photography assignment are removed and misshapen. He can earn it back by playing the game he does and gets back in the game. He encounters a few acquaintances. And at a certain point Nick from Erebos gets an assignment for her photography and that is photographing children in schools. Here Derek meets Emily's half brother. Who is also in the game and also disappears later. At the given moment Nick goes back to Victor and starts working together again to solve it. They go looking for the culprit and Emily's brother. They find Emily's brother unharmed and Nick finds out who's behind it and that's the person Victor knew who was in the first book at the club that stopped Erbos. But the husband of the kidnapped son is a bad person who sells children on to foster homes and said the child was dead to the biological parent. In short, it was worth reading.
