I can appreciate this classic, although I found this a little difficult to get through. The heavy Victorian prose was a little hard to digest. I found obligated to read this as a lover of both classics and the Victorian time period, but I found that her other works were more enjoyable. Worth a read, but I recommend a companion to help translate some of the text.

This is absolutely one of my all time favorite books. I was forced to read this in high school and approached it with hesitation. I found myself devouring this book. Relevant and highly poignant. This is a timeless classic.

Coming off the success of his first book I found this one incredibly disappointing. It lacked all the magic and insight that the first book had. I stopped caring for the cast of characters and the outlandish plot. I found the first novel life-changing and this one lackluster. To admit I actually DNF this book. Very disappointing.

An instant classic! I found this book insightful with a likeable cast of characters. This book was impactful and eye-opening. I had to read this in high school and I found myself coming back to it years after. Could not recommend more!

I could not get into this. I tried, and wanted to love this novel so much, but was so relived when it was over. Too many characters, too indulgent. I found myself drowning in the prose, too-rapid events and especially the ridiculous amount of characters. I felt as if I was playing a game with no tutorial or directions. I wanted to badly to get lost in this vast world but only found myself more confused. Such a letdown.

Although lacking the magic of the first novel, the sequel is a formidable follow-up to one of the best books I have read. Continues the saga in a fast-paced manner. Essential to the trilogy.

Another classic. What else can be said about HP that has not already been said? I enjoyed this one immensely.

Such a disappointment. I found this to be more glorified fanfiction then novel. Honestly, I have read better fanfiction. Clique. An unsatisfying sequel to such a beloved series.
