I do not even know how to begin the review for this one. I have not read a book cover to cover this fast, since I was in high school. I started this one day and finished it the next. This book was so entertaining from start to end. The way Hoover writes is enamoring because I truly felt like I was the main character. Which was kind of weird to say based on what happens in the book, but it’s how the author made me feel! The book makes you FEEL. FEEL everything. You feel love, you feel hatred, you feel jealousy, you feel confusion. You feel absolutely every emotion you could feel, in this book. And it’s lovely. It’s heartbreaking at times but overall, it’s lovely. There’s also so much to take away from this book that will make you try to understand abuse and understand people who are abused. As hard of a conversation that is, it is needed. It’s a fantastic read and I could not recommend it more.

4 hours and 22 minutes. That is how long it took me to read this. I started the book at 6pm and I finished it at 2am. This was my second ever Colleen Hoover book and while I do not believe I enjoyed it as much as "It Ends With Us", I still very much enjoyed it. I definitely can understand why some people may not like this one as much though. It took a few chapters for me to be absolutely hooked. The second half of the book, things went a lot faster and were just overall, great to read. I found the flipping back and forth between narrators a little bit confusing and sometimes even annoying. But, I enjoyed that Colleen does a spectacular job with giving different writing styles to each of the narrators. There are also a lot of parts of this book that are very poetic and I love that about it. I love that it does showcase the many sides of ugly love. And one final thing is that even though it is not what you expect at first, the ending of the story makes this entire book worth it to stay up all night to read!

I am the same age as Michelle’s oldest daughter. I couldn’t vote for Barack in 2008 or 2012 but I know that my mom wanted him to win. A lot of people did. I didn’t really have an opinion on Michelle before this book. Other than the fact that I knew “she” was the reason my Jr./Sr. High school took out our lunchroom vending machines around 2011/2012. But after learning about why she put in the work behind this mission, was inspiring. She put in a lot of work behind the scenes and it may not be as prominently noticeable but, she did help with the change in how Americans eat. Food & health aside, this book was impactful and knowledgeable. I have never read a book like this one, as I usually stick to fiction, but this was still as amazing as the other books I have read. I loved hearing about Michelle as a kid, especially how she was so connected with music. I also loved hearing about her love story with Barack. And then of course, learning about the times where they were in White House. I feel like I learned things I should know about in America. I also feel empowered. I want to do something good. I want to do something to change the world. I want to be even a fraction of the kind of woman that Michelle is.

No matter if you are democrat or republican or anything in between or beyond, this book will open your eyes to this world. I definitely recommend this for all.
The Mist by Stephen King

This is my first time reading Stephen King and I would say it was a pretty good first one! I know a watched the 2007 film at least once before but there was not much I remember…other than the mist! Anyways, I did enjoy this book. The reason I have it 4 stars is because I felt like there was so much background information that wasn’t really necessary and I just found myself skipping through it. This one was a short book too, so it kinda felt like King was just trying to make the story longer by adding filler information. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the story and how it was all written. The end is especially interesting!

This is definitely an instant favorite. I love when authors make you fall in love with every character. I loved Gus, January, Shadi, and even Pete! There was not necessarily any twist to this book but I was not sure how the book was gonna end and then finally, I was so satisfied with the conclusion. What I love about Henry is that she gives us even a little more after the “Happily Ever After” and I love it!! I can’t wait to read more of her books!

This was a very good short read. I feel like I didn’t understand the purpose of the story before the end but now I do! It’s honestly beautiful and everyone should read it. I also just loved the idea of a small town and a lesbian couple and Scott helping them become more welcomed! It was a cute story and also intriguing!
