GOSH THIS WAS GOOD

I originally planned to Never read this book, based on the disinterest and disdain an ex-friend had for this book, but I'm slowly reclaiming things that I like and things that I want to like.

this was amazing and I cannot wait to read the second one. the writing itself holds a certain air of maturity, delving into the characters' thoughts, feelings, and pasts without spending too much time, giving context where it's needed and moving the story along with the best pacing.

well, i can't say it wasn't well done. i didn't see the end coming and it hit me in a way that makes me think i will certainly remember this story, but overall, i couldn't connect with it. i didn't love the characters, i didn't love the setting, and i definitely didn't love the plotline. it was tragic, but it wasn't great.

absolutely no hate to the author, i just personally did not enjoy this.

I am both in awe and sick to my stomach. the kind of things this amazing woman experienced is nothing short of traumatic, and her journey of growth and education is far beyond incredible. I wish her all the best and I am so thankful to have read her words.

my first wlw read, and it delivered beautifully. my only complaint would be that i don't feel i was given enough time to get to know the main women, but I'm not upset since i was looking for a short, sweet, fluffy story to cure my hetero-romance boredom. loved this so much and i will definitely be reading, and purchasing, more of Shira Glassman's stories in the future.
