i think i would have enjoyed this at any time as a trans weirdo who deeply enjoys weird horror short stories, but reading this now when i've been really exploring my identity made this hit like a bolt of lightning. this is a fantastically weird collection that scratched so many itches i didn't know i had - different flavors of horror, erotica, the trans experience, all blended together in such a good way. this won't be for everyone, but i highly recommend it if it sounds even remotely interesting. makes me want to reread Your Body is Not Your Body from 10p!

super cute!! I would have liked a bit more backstory/worldbuilding, especially to explain how fairies worked/why the sudden stakes were there/what the role of magic is and why they have to hide when magic is used regularly by humans, but the cuteness largely carries this.
