Very informative, slow-paced, and reflective read. Another favorite by Jennifer Ackerman. This book is mellow and reflects on the nature around her, and her family life (though not quite as heavily). I enjoyed this book greatly and found it relaxing to read. I highly recommend it to other nature lovers!

Great informative text, laced with humor. Nice job, enjoying her other book Fuzz as well.

Had to read for class… did not enjoy. The characters felt stale and the story dull.

This book was fantastic. The writing made you forget the fact that it was a book, written in such a manner that I was lost in the story, picturing exactly what was happening. The characters felt real and extremely flawed, much like a real human being is, which is often neglected in books - don't get me wrong, their being flawed is a good thing, story-telling wise. This book is tragic. I gave this book my heart and it absolutely shattered it into a thousand pieces, and then again, and just for the fun of it, once more. I read this in one sitting and absolutely loved it. I would recommend it.
