This book took me on a trip! This is my first really dark romance. And my emotions have been sent in every direction. Like my mind is blown with how sick and nasty it was, but it’s also really spicy. Then the last third of the book is like an anxiety attack. I had actual goose pimples while reading it. It took me longer than anticipated due to life stressors. But I even felt the pain of a few of the characters. The emotion and physical pain both.

For a YA book, I really enjoyed this. The book itself wasn’t the reason it took me so long. But the ending. Oh my gosh. I didn’t want to put it down even though I was falling asleep. But the problem, as usual, is I want more. I want more of Emma Saylor and Roo. Their story had just begun. And we weren’t given enough!!!! Also… what happened to all of the workers? Blake, Colin, Hannah, and Rachel during and after the storm? What happened to everyone else? I feel like the storm itself was cut short as well. Otherwise it’s really a good read!

Lennon and Macon are, omg amazingly disastrous. The bonus content has me wanting more. Reading about Sam and Lennon relationship had me wanting more of them. Also, the drama with claire! I need more of that too. This book was one that had me close to tears. I love them so much.

Wow. Just wow. This book had me hooked. It’s been a while since I devoured a book like this. It took me a little longer than it would have due to being a mom to a one year old. But I loved it. The action. The edge of the seat drama. The sex. The love. The adventure. All of. I’m ready for more. Onto the next!

My first time reading something like this. At first I thought it was a little awkward with the fact that they would become stepbrother and stepsister. Then it didn't bother me so much since really they were less stepsiblings than friends. The author definitely keeps you on edge with Macons OD. And then the epologe. I'm ready for the second one! Devoured this book! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I don’t even know where to begin. This one had me from the first book in the series. I wanted to know about the Sloane and Lucian situation. And the ending. Like for real? Come on. Pull at my heart strings and make me cry. The thoughtful gift with Simon’s last text to Lucian on it. The full house of family related and not related. It’s sets the holiday theme. And it’s so unexpected from what you get from the very first book. Like I want more. Of the whole Knockemount family! Where’s Steph and Jeremiah’s story?!

I wanted to THROW this book across my house a few times. Clara frustrated the crap out of me. Her attitude towards her mom. The truth about her dad and aunt. Morgan, I can understand where she was coming from trying not to taint Clara’s memory of her two favorite people. But she also didn’t deserve all the hate. I’m mad we didn’t learn what was in the letters and cards from Jenny to Chris. I wanted to know when it all began! Ugh. Such a frustratingly good book!

This was a hard one to rate. The story itself… was good. I really enjoyed it. Finished it rather quickly. This is partly because it’s just an all around pretty easy read along with enjoyable. Why I gave it a lower rating is just the writing style. He used the characters names far too many times in too short of spans. Like, normal human beings do not speak that way. But the story line as I said was good!

The book wasn’t bad. It wasn’t as good as the first one, but I can tell you right now I was NOT expecting Tate Dilton to be the shooter. Did we know he was mad and abusing power? Clearly, since that’s why he was suspended and later fired. But he shot Nash BEFORE all of that. So that blew my mind. The action at the end of the book definitely had my heart racing. Wish there was more about Luna and getting the Porsche. More about the secret sector her and Nolan are in but maybe in the third one. The epilogue blew my mind with Slonne and Lucian. I cannot wait to read their story and finally find out what happened/happens between them!

To be honest… it was somewhat confusing. It was not terrible! But for me it felt like it was really jumping around. The relationship was wishie washie and just bounced too much. There’s the interaction with Kyle’s grandma that doesn’t make a whole lot of sense and it doesn’t last long. Like I just wish there would have been more detail!
