Laura Dave knows how to keep me invested n' guessin! I cared about the story and the characters and I was quite surprised by the reveals. I can't say the writing blew me away! It was a bit painful at times with the "she said" and "he said" over and over when it needn't be said!  However, I did not come to this book expecting the greatest writing of my life, I came for a thriller/mystery and it delivered.

i was drawn to this book because of the cover and synopsis, so i took a pic to add to my tbr. when i asked the bookseller what books they've loved recently, this is the book they mentioned! it was too serendipitous to pass up!!! i simply had to make the purchase!!!! i am so glad i did. i loved this book, i loved the three perspectives, the characters, the writing, i could go on and on and on and on.

this is a super layered dystopian scifi novel that has so much commentary on our current situation that you might choke on it!!! i had a good time with it but i could also understand how someone could find it quite heavy handed

i loved buddy reading this with my best friend, highly recommend. it's quite funny, brutally honest, and vulnerable. it's not a memoir but at times it does read like one.
