I really loved this book, the character development and worldbuilding was simply stunning! I got into this book from a couple of online friends, and I can definitely see why everybody loves this book so much! The characters are cold and closed-off at times, but the author shows just enough behind the curtain that you come to love them.
The only thing I would like to add is that the worldbuilding can be a bit spotty at points, I've had to re-read things to understand what is going on and the first chapter was so confusing, it did NOT help the situation. So if you are easily confused with a lot of worldbuilding, this probably isn't the best book for you.

Such a beautifully written book, it follows Kady Grant and Ezra Mason through the bombing of their home planet, onto spaceships in the black of the universe. Told in transcripts, emails, and commentary by a certain AI, this book is lovable and emotional, and makes you want to read it again and again.
If you love Sci-fi, or books told in unusual formats (such as letters or instagram posts) then you will love this book! I, for one, loved it, and it had me laughing out loud and crying at the same time.

At first, I had trouble getting into it because it was slower at the begging of the book, but the wait was well worth it. The whole book was fun, reflective, and fiercely feminist, with wonderful world building that I continue to love and think of.
Wonderful for fans of fantasy and romance, this book has magic and mischief that will continue to leave you in awe of Kate's marvelous debut.

Amie Kaufman's other books -including Aurora Rising and These Broken Stars- are true wonders, and this one is no different. Selly, Leander, and the rest of the cast is thoroughly loveable and the plot is fast-paced and attention-grabbing. I love the contrast between all of the characters personalities, there are no characters that seem similar or even close to the same. Readers who love romance, sailing, and fantasy will love this book.
