✨Book Review✨

📖 Broken Bonds by JBree 📖

Another series that I am actually starting to get excited about. This book is such a great way to start. I devoured this in a few hours and I had such an amazing time with it. I’ve been in a book slump for weeks and I was busy as well but this put me on a radar once again. And yes, I am reading book two right away! Not to divulge some spoiler so I’ll zip my lips.

An unputdownable reverse harem fantasy romance that I devoured in a few hours. I love the story development and there wasn’t much of a spice but it was entertaining and easy to read.

The fact that I lovingly devoured her previous book, Bride, I know without a doubt that I will pick this book up. I have high hopes for this one but I didn't love it as much. It took me exactly 40 days to finish this book. The premise was good but I got lost in the middle so I had to stop reading it. I wasn't enjoying the story. It's pacing -- in my opinion -- was slow and monotonous. Though there were a lot of detailed spicy scenes, it didn't excite me at all. I knew that I needed to be in a good mood to continue this but it wasn't the case. The pacing, for me, took up until 75% of the story to be somehow make sense.

But, in all fairness, the character development of the MCs and the slow burn tension between them was amazing. I love how Ali nicely put things together.

I enjoyed some parts of it so yes, I will still recommend this book.

If only I can say one about this is that — the worst book I have ever read my entire life. I was so looking forward to this but I was so disappointed that I had to stop

📖A Court of Silver Flames by SJM📖

✨Book Review✨

I finally finished this series — unofficially, since SJM announced the next book. This book is a love and hate one. It took 80% of the book to actually love it. It was still Nesta. I hate her guts especially her attitude. The author keeps on giving me ways to love her but I can’t see a way after everything she did to those people who truly cares for her. I have been dragging this for so long because of the FMC. I can’t accept her. But when a scene came along, I somehow forgot it a lil bit. So yeah for that scene, I cried and it was so heartbreaking.

To be honest, I persist because I love GWYN. She is a ray of sunshine. She is a lovely character and I can’t wait to see her character development on the next series.

PS I STILL CANNOT FORGIVE THAT THEY ARE MATES. If you know, you know. I can’t. He is too precious for her. I still think he deserves more.

I don’t want to write the things I hate because there’s so much more and it’s all about NESTA. I STILL HATE NESTA.

📖Heat of the Everflame by Penn Cole📖

Amid war, Diem Bellator wanted to have a balance between realms. Her unusual heritage, the Daughter of the Forgotten, started to unravel and such an unexpected journey happened in between.

This story made me think of the unthinkable and put me on the edge of my seat the whole fcking time. The tortuous adventures Diem and Luther had were such a whirlwind experience. I was in all kinds of emotions. It would be a pleasure to read the next book but once again my impending doom to read another unfinished series came in.

The cliffhanger distraught me in an unfathomable way. I cannot think about the way it destroyed me. I need the next book as if my life depended on it. It was an enjoyable and unputdownable book. It was such an amazing adventure to know that there are still books like this.

This was everything I wanted for a political fantasy realm. This story made me cry for good reason — but in a bad way as well because of the unexpected death — and made me laugh and giddy for a lot of reasons especially, Luther! It was cunning, very political but I devoured every moment of this story.

This is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5) Star Read! And stop asking me if this is spicy because it is not but this is such a great story!

I want to say more but I might spill some tea on this so I will let anyone sees this decide to read this story. And if I am being honest, you are doing yourself a favor if you given this story a chance.

This story follows Diem Bellator, a gifted healer, who years to be free from the unfairness of her realm. She was protected from the evil of the world by her parents. But since her mother’s disappearance, the hunt starts. I may have took sometime to finish this book but now that I am done, I remember “The Wicked King” but in a different and strange way. I enjoy this one and I need more!

✨Book Review✨

This story follows a rivalry of two authors on a month-long book tour. Edwina Danforth, a romance author and William Haywood, a poet — are competing in sales in a coveted contract that will lead them to unexpected romance while protecting their own. It has a lot of witty banters, fluffy romances and a dash of spice that left me giggling to my heart content.

This is the first time I read a story from this author and she has been on my radar and I’ve only seen good reviews on her stories. It was such an honor to have the e-ARC. Cozy romance isn’t my thing but oh boy, this made me smile from ear to ear!

Thank you The Nerd Fam for the gifted ARC.

Mafia Romance Novel that has a lot of cliches. Everything I read from any mafia romance is here. It’s not that I hate the story but I don’t love it as well. I probably wished more from this one. Disappointed at one point because I love some good Mafia Romance but this fell flat. Or maybe this one isn’t for me. Let me know if you read this one!

📚The Choice by Claire Wade📚

A dystopian novel where “Mother knows best”.

What will you do if everything is controlled by the government? From the mandatory exercises, to the way you dress and the way you eat? What if your greatest pleasure is to have a bite of chocolate but it’s illegal? Where sugar and unhealthy choices were banned?

That is basically the whole story all about and because of that a revolution was made. If you think about it, it is possible. It was an easy read —read it in like more than 3 hours— and has some new idea. This is a maybe for me but if you like something like this, you can pick this book up and let me know your thoughts after.
