This book was absolutely amazing and truly  heartbreaking. You get a good look into the Jim Crow era and how the white man had all the power back then especially over people of color and poor. The poorer you were, the harsher it was. I really connected to these characters and had a hard time putting this book down. It's powerful, haunting, terrifying but also beautiful in the end. I could never imagine going to a school that punishes children the way this school did and all it's secrets. I highly recommend reading this book.

This was fun start to a new series. This is a new to me author who I do plan on picking up the next book from. I had a fun time with the library setting, the ghostly encounter while there, the mystery and of course the love interest.

My one and only complaint was the daily stuff that I felt wasn't really needed but that's a me thing and might not bother others.

Otherwise I had a fun time while reading this, great for spooky season.

This was a great debut book. Witches and magic and mystery galore! Very atmospheric. And can we talk about the house! Let me tell you, that house is a whole mood. 😂 I really enjoyed myself with this one and can't wait for the next book. Such a fun cast of characters. Plenty of family drama and did I mention a house that knows what it wants. So fun. Definitely recommend picking this up.

Neighbors to Lovers, brothers best friend, friends to lovers, small town, single dad.... all the swoon worthy things are in this book! I loved the premise of this story as it brought two people who have (denied) loved each other forever back together after thinking they could never be together. Ainsley was the sweetest especially with Lachlan's daughter. I loved how much of a role she plays in the story. Lachlan is grumpy and it's so cute how much he tries not to fall all over again with his best friend's sister but he couldn't resist and I was all here for it. I liked that she has to write a sports piece on him, knowing she's no good when it comes to sports or terminology. I laughed everytime she got something wrong. 🤣 This was such a cute read, I loved it and hope everyone picks this one up. I can't wait for the next book.

This was such a fun cozy mystery and was perfect for the fall season. I didn't realize when I first started this that it's the third book in the series but I had no issues reading it and can say that it can be read as a standalone. I was all here for a fall vibes and absolutely loved the setting. The murder was a wild ride and definitely didn't guess who the killer was but it was a fun time leading up to that point. I definitely had a good time while reading and recommend my cozy mystery lovers to pick this one up.

Another cute romance this time following Noah and Hazel. This was so cute! The bookstore is adorable and love that they serve Cinnamon buns on Sundays! I loved watching Hazel and Noah fall in love with each other while on these cute little dates that were highlighted in random books in the store. It was so adorable, they were adorable and I just loved all the vibes. This is set more during the summer but it was still a cute cozy vibe perfect for anytime of year. Definitely recommend this one.

I'm loving all these cozy mysteries and Ellie writes the best ones! I loved the concept of a dinner party with a side of murder. What no one expected was a real murder to happen and I was all here for it. I loved trying to unravel who did it which of course I didn't. (I could never be a detective 🤣) I loved the back story of underground tunnels that connect different houses and land. I thought that was pretty cool considering we have underground tunnels here as well. I really loved this one and can't wait for the next book which is Christmas themed!! I'm so excited!!!

Well... this was definitely not for me. I was not interested in any of the characters, was confused through most of it, the plot was... well I don't even know. And there was just too many characters and too much going on to keep up with all while in a category 5 hurricane!?! I skimmed the majority of the book because I was bored reading it.

The only positive, short chapters. Definitely can appreciate them but the pacing was still off and this book was just way to long.

AMAZING!!! Absolutely freaking amazing! I loved Ryder and Kira's story so damn much I never wanted it to end. I already love single parent romances and having both of them be single parents just topped the cake. Throw in a nanny romance, protective hero and two very adorable little girls and I was done for!!! If I could give this book more stars I would! Definitely my favorite of the month and definitely the top book of the year for me!

Ryder is what I want in a man. He's hard working, a terrific father, loving and caring, even to someone he didn't really know. He was protective, sweet and just absolutely amazing to both of those little girls. Swooooonnnnn!!! We need more Ryders in the world!!

Kira is such a sweet girl. She loves her little girl and protects her to the end. She also just took to Ryders little girl like it was nothing and it was so cute to watch. Anyone who can take someone else's kid in like it's there own is amazing and both of them did it and I was just all here for it!

I just really loved this book and can't wait for others to pick it up and read it!!! I'm excited for what book three brings but Nikki is going to have a hell of a time beating these two!!! All the stars!!! Highly recommend!!

Another fantastic cozy mystery by Ellie. I'm slowly making my way through her back list and so far I have loved everything. I loved the German beer references and how atmospheric this book is. It definitely gave off cool fall vibes. The murder was on point. I did figure out who did it fairly early on but I still enjoyed reading this story and watching the characters try to figure it out. This does have a bit of a romance sub plot but it's more on the heading for divorce outlook for one guy while working for the other so I'm curious on where things will go as I move along in the series. I had a good time and definitely recommend this one.
