A stunningly beautiful book. The narrative is clear eyed and compassionate, recognising the sadness and difficulty in the world and showing why it’s okay to continue anyway.

This books was incredibly engrossing, with a universe of characters to rival dickens, demon is funny and lovable. My only criticisms, the narrative felt slightly voyeristic, the term poverty porn comes to mind.
