I enjoyed the latter half if this book. It took me so long to finish this book because most of the beginning and middle were really hard to get through personally. All the scientific and mathematical talk just isn't something my brain enjoys so it was hard to get through it. Once it started to move from that, though, and into the more climactic parts of the book, it was really enjoyable. I'm glad I decided to finish the book and liked it overall.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I lost my brother at a really young age so the theme of this book definitely had me emotional throughout. I didnt particularly like the random side characters thrown in here and there. I felt they added very little to the main storyline so they felt kind of pointless in the end. I also understand that we are reading the good chunk of this book through the eyes and voice of two teenagers, but the dialogue was just really hard to read sometimes (but thats just a personal ick on my part). All in all it, was an emotional and lovely story from beginning to end and one I really enjoyed.

This was a wonderful read. It was emotional and healing in a way I never thought a book could be. It was just beautiful. The story, the characters, and the writing were all magnificent.

With how highly recommended this book was online, I expected it to be better, but it wasn't terrible for what it was. I also didn't like the pacing of the book either. But it was still a cute and quick read and I did enjoy it overall.

Honestly, this was a great cozy read and I really enjoyed it. I read it in one sitting and I haven't been able to do that with a book since I was in highschool over a decade ago! It wasn't too serious, but it was cute, funny, and entertaining on every page, so I really can't find a reason to give it ant less than a 5 star.

I was really excited to read this book because I've seen so many positive reviews online and on tiktok. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this one as much as I hoped. Achilles and Patroclus were not likeable, so I found it hard to really care about their love or their relationship. I also really really did not like the authors style of writing. The sentences were broken up weird and punctuation was used so heavily and oddly, it was just really hard for me to get into the book. I'm not a huge DNF person, once I pick up a book I try to finish it no matter if I like it or not, so thats why I made it through this read. But this book was just not for me.

Wow. Just wow. I initially almost DNF'd this book because the first part of it was so dense and, at a lot of points, hard to understand (this is why I didnt give it a full 5 star rating). I came back to the reviews on here and goodreads and they convinced me to keep going.

I am so glad I did. This is such a breathtakingly dark, emotional, and hopeful read. I was crying through the last few chapters. This book can definitely be seen as a commentary on the past colonization, white supremacy, and racism of this country (and others of course), but is also extremely relevant to current times as we're still dealing with the same issues, and that made reading it so much more difficult and emotional.

I think there was not much emphasis put on character development (minus the main character Robin), but I think the most important aspect of the book was revolution, change, and injustice. So character development didn't need to be at the forefront of this story and it definitely didn't take away from the book at all.

This was an amazing read and I highly recommend it.
