The Alchemist is a beautifully simple story that I highly recommend. It's both inquisitive and encouraging, offering a fresh perspective on life. The tale of the boy and the alchemist isn't rich in world-building or plot; instead, it explores the adventure of following our callings and the ease with which we can stray from our paths. This isn't a self-help book; it's a mirror reflecting your own life journey, revealing details about yourself you may have never noticed.
This is the greatest non-fiction book I’ve read so far. It’s the perfect demonstration of pure will power and transforming your life. This is a no bullshit mathematical proof that there is power in your mindset and that every person has the ability to transform their lives. Goggins has been at the lowest of the low and still rose up to the person he is today. No matter who you are or what you’ve accomplished, there is absolutely something to take from this book.
An amazing follow up to Hyperion. Has a great cast of characters and a very interesting plot. The ending was spectacular as wells. Overall Hyperion and Fall are an amazing duo I would highly recommend to people.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Interesting story and I give it praise for when it came out but I’ve been through many utopian stories now that this book felt predictable. I also felt the friendships he had with asher felt very hollow and not very fleshed out. Though they did an incredible job when they revealed the community couldn’t see color which is so very well done and important to the story. Overall I do recommend as it’s quite short and easy to get through if you want to give the classics a chance.
This has to be one of the most important books I’ve ever read. Sincerely swept me off my feet with emotion, this is an incredibly written book and it’s a shame people don’t get the opportunity to read it. While the language can be vulgar, it’s necessary to the plot and the environment. A real learning experience about how we treated african americans before the second world and how this world is seen through the eyes of a child. Highly recommended regardless of your age and background.
An incredible take on the lives of people immense wealth and the masks these people put on for the world. Filled with lots of mystery and fun but in equal parts tense moments when characters are challenged. Many of these characters to this day mirror our society and lots of time during reading I connected characters actions and personalities to people i’ve met.
I first intrigued by the shrike and learning about it and the cult surrounding it so it took me by surprise learning about the characters backgrounds and how incredibly well written their stories are composed becoming my favorite part of the book.
