I liked the two MCs. They have great chemistry together. I was a bit confused by some of the terminology used since this was my first fox shifter book. It needs some additional editing, especially with the tense and sentence structure, but overall it was an enjoyable read.

I realized I struggle to absorb historical fiction on the first listen without having first read the text. So this was interesting for me. I will revisit the text to see how the story differs for me.

Narrator Valentina Ortiz gave a phenomenal performance. I really enjoyed this childhood friends to frenemies to lovers adventure. It was cute and funny and a bit touching and even really sweet with its sex scenes.

I know my brain doesn't process fantasy in audiobook format as well when it's the first time I'm experiencing the story. I enjoyed what I could absorb and will definitely go back and read the physical book, 'cause I know I missed a lot. Tavia, narrated by Jennifer Haralson, didn't capture me with her reading. I really liked, Effie's narration though - voiced by Andrea Lang.

This was cute. I liked the simple, relatable language the author used throughout. And the narrator, Brittany Pressley, was perfect for this book.

I switched between reading the ebook and listening to the audio as well as doing both simultaneously. I listened to 11 hours and 40 minutes total. And the narrators were really great.
