It's a HEA romance but I still regard it as a sad one because of what Mia and Noah went through.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 76%.
The story is sectioned into 3 parts.
Part 1: I really liked the blooming romance.
Part 2: It was lovely. But after few chapters Kes started to get real cocky for me. Lyra's past however was emotional and deep.
Part 3: I couldn't take it anymore. Poppy is at her end, Lyra has her friends and Kes... He's like an accessory.

I'm sad because I was looking forward to this book.

Throughout the whole book, I appreciated Annabelle's professionalism. She was such a great character who handled issues well.

Nick was the definition of a grump! Which made this book a true grumpy x sunshine trope.

It also gave me Beauty and the Beast vibe a lot set in the contemporary world.

It got me invested in it from the start. It was really cute, that basic
  • Best-friends to lovers
  • Neighbors
  • Childhood friends to lovers
  • Grumpy x sunshine

I enjoyed every minute. Except for Knightley wanting Emma to be an adult. I wanted to understand more of that from his pov because he really had an issue with it. But the book didn't do much justice to it for me.
