It's my fifth Freida McFadden book and my most favorite of her so far!
Ethan and Tricia have been married for six months and currently looking for their dream house. As the novel opens, they're on the road to see this mansion owned by a psychiatrist who vanished years ago without a trace. Then Tricia discovers her cassette tapes.
Its told in dual timelines, one where we get Tricia's POV (present) and another where the psychiatrist tells her own story (past) and there are the tapes she's listening to. All of them are equally interesting!
The tapes have sessions with multiple people (her patients) and those parts were very intriguing. You would be reading them very attentively and will try to read between the lines.
Its impossible to do this book justice in a single review. It not only has twists and turns that leave you gasping the major twist is truly unpredictable, its very engaging and fast-paced too. Very cleverly written!
