didn't love it, didn't hate it. appreciated the huntington's disease portrayal and how a gene positive result can affect family and romantic relationships. although i enjoyed the balance of heartwrenching and heartwarming, the okay writing, too-long time skips, and a rushed ending didn't help

an amazing story filled with banter, humor, and pining but an even more amazing cast of friends. it’s lighthearted and fun but with a pinch of heartbreak, the perfect recipe for a 5 star book

quick read but a bit slow-paced. there's a few instances of telling vs showing. but i enjoyed the banter, realistic sibling relationship, and ella's blossoming friendship with sarah

loved the topics of the justice system & school-to-prison pipeline, the found family, and the romance buildup. but if i had to reread or if i knew beforehand how it would end, i’d stop right after their i love you’s and make up my own happily ever after ending because what we actually get is a bittersweet, unsatisfying ending to a story that could’ve been so much more had the last tenth of the book gone in a different direction.

luxury. affordable. industry standard. (iykyk)
banter + slow burn + sarcasm + relatable characters = 5 stars
the friendships are just as important as the romance and i love that!

as heart-wrenching as it is heartwarming, you really get lost in ben's journey. as for them and nathan, while there's no such thing as perfect, they’re pretty close. easy 5 star read.

the perfect book to read after a 7 month hiatus! i mean, a romcom about romcoms?!! they nailed the romance and the comedy! and liz and wes’ banter!?!! i was so much in my feels, both romantically for them and sympathetically for liz’s grief. however, there was one part of the plot i wish was resolved differently. also, i wish it was dual povs since it would’ve helped us know and understand wes better. but to end on a positive note, that playlist for them is spot-on!
