All of the stars for the dedication to military and nautical euphemisms. Love a good cannon and port.

I got this for free during Stuff Your Kindle day and it's second in a series? I'm assuming the series is about a himbo naval officer that goes around and accidentally has sex with people ... Then tells his crew who are very bored by it?

It's stupid regency smut

This was a pretty standard alien human abduction fated mates with all the insta lust.

The human character was very hot and cold, kept flip flopping between wanting to stay and wanting to leave.

There was a massive tonal change about 80% in. There was rape, violence and I wasn't into it

This has a really interesting premise and started out strong. It then devolved into teenage melodrama and I checked out.

I found this book very boring. I think the style and pacing was intended to mimic Jane Austen’s works but it falls flat.

I didn't mind the writing style at all. It was flowery and a bit pompous but in a fun way. It was the slow pacing that I had issues with.

There was a lot of info dumping at the beginning of the book which slowed everything down. Most of it I didn't need to know, or it could have been brought up at a more appropriate place in the book.

For a book that moved at a glacial pace and was unbelievably boring for parts of it, it jammed in a lot of stuff! I do wonder if it would have been better to have saved some of the stuff for the second book.

The romance was very lacklustre. There was no chemistry between the characters and there wasn't any build up. It felt forced.

This isn't a witchy version of Pride and Prejudice (or if it is, it's a bad one). If you like historical fantasy with a bit of romance then you might enjoy this but don't go expecting Austen. You'll be disappointed.

I screamed when the book ended on a cliff hanger because now I have to wait to find out what happens!

I absolutely loved this book. It's a great YA paranormal mystery with a developing romantic subplot.

I was thoroughly engaged in the mystery. There were several different elements to it, each one interesting. I liked how the characters would draw conclusions based on the information they had and then had to revise it when they learned more. It was very realistic and kept me invested.

The romance was a slow burn and came about very organically. The author managed to capture the awkwardness of teenagers developing feelings and not knowing what to do with it. It was very relatable.

I loved the banter and relationship between the characters. The focus wasn't just on the romantic relationship which I liked, the relationships with other characters were also developed.

The world felt very vibrant and real. I can't wait to revisit it in the second book.

This is an accompanying book to her Exercise for Better Bones that focuses on yoga.

It is a really useful guide that is very clear and gives easy modifications to make movements safe.

I think it is important that people take responsibility for their bone health and have the resources to make exercise accessible to them.
