I thought this book was the most domestic of the series so far. There was less aspects of war and fighting the clone war and more almost fan service-ey story like Etain going through her pregnancy and especially Karl and his fatherly duty to protect the Commandos. The end especially felt almost like a perfect fan fiction where you really have to question if this is really happening, but in a good, light-hearted way.
I can really see why this series is so beloved out of all the extended universe books. I think this series has quickly become a favorite of mine! Can’t wait and very nervous for the next book. This is where we’re at peak happy and I’m not ready for it to end.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

I loved seeing the clones bond with Skirata and learning about his complicated past. I especially loved learning more about how Mandalorians treat their young and I wish we saw way more of this in the clone wars.
I’m still recovering from The Bad Batch finishing earlier this summer and I just wanted more clone action. This book was an excellent way to start that off! I loved seeing the clone trauma and how they navigate the world as beings who have only been bred for one purpose. I thought each clone character was loveable with a great backstory. I can’t wait to see more of these guys in future books!
I LOVED this book! The adventure was fast-paced and exhilarating while also making your heart pound with intensity. The characters are lovable and I loved seeing how their flaws played into their actions through the story. With that being said, sometimes the fast-paced was a little too fast, making it hard to truly feel the impact of some of the scenes. But I would definitely read this book again!
I thought this book was so cute! I’d been in a book slump lately and felt this book pulled me out of it. It was sweet, funny, angsty and a perfect read for anyone looking for a good romance. Loved it!
