Untethered Sky by Fonda Lee

My only complaint is that I wish it was longer. Not because the book is missing anything but purely because I enjoyed it so much I was not ready for the story to be over.
This was, to me, a sort of trial read for Fonda Lee because I am interested in reading Jade City but was too hesitant due to the fact that it is not a stand alone novel but also because of the sheer size of it. I have not really read a big chunky book in some time and it has been hard getting back in the habit. Needless to say my fears have been greatly diminished. The author was able to create meaningful relationships, believable world building, and character progression within 180 pages. I am impressed.

I wish I had been able to finish this book when I still have the physical copy but alas it was not possible. The audiobook was really good but there was something much more unsettling tot he story when I had to physically read it.
This was a very spooky read. I enjoyed it very much and selfishly hope there is a way to persuade the author to give a happier ending to the characters.
