Not my favourite from the series but still enjoyable! I really like how Freida McFadden can write characters who are so uniquely odd. The vibes of this book don’t quite match the other two, but the book itself even says that third instalments are never as good so kudos for the self awareness. Not 100% sure why Millie’s blood pressure was brought up so often though.

I didn’t think I’d like the narrative style of this book but once I moved past it I ended up thoroughly enjoying every word of it. It’s very raw and dark and I love Blythe as an unreliable narrator.

I love books like these because I’m too stupid to see what’s coming. I will never be a “the ending was too predictable” type bitch. I am shocked every time and it’s a fantastic way to live.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 45%.
It ended up getting rather repetitive and didn’t interest me as much as I thought it would, which is a shame! Maybe i’ll come back to it another day, but for now I won’t be continuing

the art style is really lovely and the premise is very important. it felt a little bit surface level but maybe that’s because it’s just the first volume.

the pacing was very slow to start off with (but picked up nicely about halfway through), and the portrayal of mental health was very questionable. but i enjoyed the ending a lot and felt like the plot wrapped up in a really satisfying way.
