So I remember watching the TikToks as they were coming out and when I found out there was gonna be a book I was thrilled. But this was not what I was expecting at all. I have some very different expectations and hopes for this book.
That being said I am pretty freaking wowed by what I got even though it’s not what I imagined. The book had me outwardly reacting as things were said or done and I just stayed up to an unholy hour of the night to finish reading it despite the fact I got work tomorrow. It’s surprisingly great. It gives me Percy Jackson energy.

It’s really cute! I love that there isn’t that stereotype of asshole jock shitting on the other sport. I like that Nate is actually sweet and genuine right off the bat. The spice is great too but I have to say I absolutely lovedddde Nate just being Nate. He’s such a sweetheart and I love the dynamic of the team and Anastasia it’s so wholesome.

The spice is great and so is the plot. It’s very reminiscent of a wattpad original story and was a nostalgic read I kind of wish that the manny and ten thing was a little more elaborated on. I would have loved to see them get together and I would have loved to see a response from Delilah. Kinda hoping that Delilah gets her own story too but it was a good read. Took me less than ten hours to finish.

It’s much better than the first one but I think it’s because we get some back story. Still great! I’m here for all the fluff 😌😌

I literally have no words other than I was not ready for the story to end. It’s slow paced but in the right way. You feel the pressure and the stress the characters are carrying and by the end of the book you’re so invested that you just aren’t ready to say goodbye. That being said I cried myself to sleep after finishing it because I didn’t want it to end.

I honestly enjoyed it very much. There were parts where I was super confused but other than that it was great! I do wish there was a glossary in the book itself but other than that I thought it was pretty good! My favorite line from the book is “island of 5ara (khara)”

It’s so much more than just a good romantic comedy! It also shares the real unfiltered experiences faced by many Pakistanis whether it be here in the States or in Canada or UK or Australia. It talks about things that our community sees as taboo and it works through so many things without making it seem forceful!! It’s so natural and it’s such a fantastic flow of events from start to finish. Absolutely beautiful work of literature. It’s so much more than a work of fiction you guys. It makes you feel seen and your struggles valid as a brown Muslim in this day and age.

It was an ok book. I didn’t hate it but I wouldn’t exactly recommend it either. Booktok really hyped it up so I genuinely was so excited for it. It wasn’t disappointing or anything. Just mediocre? The spice is ok but it’s definitely not something to gift your 16 year old niece if you know what I mean. My only real problem was that it was written very much wattpad fan fiction style. But other than that it was ok. I feel it’ll be a better movie than a book. There’s a lot of potential in it. Very much “right idea, wrong execution”

This whole series was fantastic! But I wasn’t sure about crooked kingdom after I read six of crows if I’m being honest. Six of Crows was so good I was a little worried that crooked kingdom might be a little disappointing. WELL IM HERE TO TELL YOU THAT IT FREAKING DELIVERED!!!! Honestly It’s such a beautifully planned magical heist book that I’m having depression over the idea of not getting to read it for the first time again. To be fair you gotta be able to keep up with Kaz Brekker’s mindset to be able to understand how the plan is made and where his failsafes activate as you read through the book. Not a lot of people I know have rated it a full five stars because they didn’t understand Kaz’s schemes but if you can keep up with it I swear to god it’s like you’re part of the crew and you’re running along by them while getting shot at from every direction.
