I wanted to read a spooky book for October and, this seemed very fitting to me when I found it on TikTok. I read this in the span of two days, and I wasn't disappointed.

This book felt like a thriller with a touch of supernatural which I loved. For me it wasn't that scary, and I actually excepted to sleep with the light on after this book but, it was good nevertheless.

It was a very faced paced book and, I was worried that the plot-twist would be ruined due the shortness of the book but, the author managed to do it. I had a thought about what the plot-twist would be but, I was still surprised. I didn't see most of these things coming which made it an enjoyable read.

'Anybody can look at you. It's quite rare to find someone who sees the same world you see.'

As a person who suffers from OCD, and (health) anxiety since I'm 8 years old this book meant a lot to me. I think what made the book so rare, and real was John Green's own struggle with OCD.

Reading this book was like a slap to my face. Aza's thought process, and spirals reminded me a lot of my own. And I think John did an amazing job at portraying that. She knows she has a problem and she is doing her best to work through it but she just can't escape what she thinks or who she truly is. There is always something  at the back of her mind that annoying thought that you can't let out, and even though she is living an ordinary life and doing homework etc. It's still holding her back.

I liked how the book didn't have a happy ending, and made her mental illness magically go away. Because that's not how it works. The ending showed that it will get better but, it can always get a little bit harder but, you will work through it, and it will get better.

There wasn't a single book of TJR that I haven't enjoyed, and I'm always in awe how she manages to make every book her own way.

This book got me out of the reading slump. I'm not a fan of sports but, after a few pages TJR managed to make me root for tennis something that I have never imagined.

Following Carrie through her childhood till her adulthood was beautiful. Every match I was glued to my seat in hopes that she would win. I loved how she was written. She was real, inspirational, and didn't take shit from anyone. A true icon.
Also, her character development made me shed a few tears.

The book was indeed sad but, it also gave you hope and it delivered the message that you can achieve what you want no matter what age you are. Never let anyone tell you that you can't because Carrie Soto showed us all how it's done.

The ending was beautiful. I cried. It was something that I didn't except and, it was beautifully done. Big shot out to TJR.

I didn't pick this book up solely on the reason to hate on it. I was excepting to like it like everyone else that I know did, but it was a no for me. I respect the personal nature of the story besides that the author's note doesn't exempt this work from criticism, so I will put my thoughts about the book down below.

The book felt more like a love triangle than a story about abuse. I empathize with Lily a lot, and the childhood stories of hers were very relatable since I grew up like that as well. But I don't think that the book captured the heaviness of the topic or the trauma well, and the book is also marketed as romance which I find is very …

Ryle was a red flag from the beginning. I saw some people that said "Oh, I liked Ryle at the beginning". He kicked a chair because he was angry, He had a photo of Lily in his room, and didn't even know her that well. That's not romantic that is weird. I could sense that he was a problem at his first experience. From that moment on he got even worse.

Atlas, I think a lot of people will hate me for it, but I don't like him. I know that he is a token book boyfriend on TikTok along with other famous book men, but I will never get why. One thing that I found very concerning and weird about him was SPOILER — that he waited for Lily to turn 16 and the second she was 16, he had sex with her. Which is so messed up, and I think a lot of people love to forget that. Also, the praise he gets for acting like a decent human being … unbelievable.

The ending felt too rushed, I wish that we would have seen more of her healing process rather than the romance. It was just all too fast and didn't make the story feel complete. I will read the Part 2 next month and hope that it will be better.

This is no hate towards Colleen! I love her. And I did enjoy quite a few of her books. This one wasn't for me.

I still don't know what to say — I can't believe that this is a debut novel. It made me feel all the things, so many emotions.

The book showed perfectly how our choices affect us, and how our secrets can define us if we let them. It felt so real, so realistic. I loved how the narrator were the mothers, people that knew everything — all the secrets, all the gossip. Just overall judgmental people. Sometimes we wish we could redo our mistakes, but that's not possible, we have to move forward just like Nadia, Aubrey and Luke did.

5/5. I recommend to everyone to read this outstanding and beautifully written novel.

After reading Tokyo Ever After, I was so excited to read the second book and ordered it immediately. I prefer TEA over this one, but it was still a cute and light-hearted story.

I loved the messages trying to fit in and learning you're
good just the way you're, dealing with family pressures, and not judging others. Also, the tropes were amazing. I'm a sucker for fake dating and love triangles.

When Akio and Izumi broke up I was heartbroken, it felt like he broke up with me as well, but I got over it REALLY fast when Eriku came into the picture like hello ? Fake dating ? That is my thing. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't upset that Izumi didn't choose Eriku in the ending but whatever makes my girl happy. And Akio is lovely, so I understand why she chose him. "You have me. You always had me." this line made me giggle and kicking my feet. Akio I'm sorry that I got into Eriku's ban.

Hanako, I felt so bad for her. At one point I thought that she would stop everything for her morals and I would have blindly supported her, but I'm also happy that she chose Mak. One thing I disliked about the storyline was how fast she changed her mind, I wish that the author would have made it a more detailed.

Also, I never thought that I would have loved the Twins as much as I do now, but here we are. I adore the character development and the friendship they formed with Izumi.

I'm happy that Izumi stayed true to herself in the end, and I'm sure that she will do amazing.

Even though I prefer the first book, I still liked it and I really hope that we might get a new volume in the future. Because I'm in LOVE with these books.

This version of Nick and Charlie wasn't wholesome and feel-good material it was real and sad.

I loved this further insight into their relationship and I also liked that the story showed how one little thing, taken out of context and blown out of proportion, can so easily knock what seemed to be a rock-solid relationship off the hill.

The whole fight was so frustrating for me since as the reader, you obviously know how much they love each other, and you couldn't do anything but sit there and watch.
