Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan

bought this because i thought “this plot was for sure tailor made for me”! and i was so right
can’t explain how this was a sappy love story but also very aware of it and trying to deny it but doing it in the best way? does it make sense? idk, read it!

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

At first i thought this was going to be a wise man giving great advice with great words to this young dorian gray, oh boy i was so wrong, sure there was some good lines but the way everything was connected and everything had a purpose made this book one of my favorite classics
Just Kids by Patti Smith

“I heard his voice above the gulls, the childish laughter, and the roar of the waves.
Smile for me, patti, as i am smiling for you.”
I had no ideia who Patti smith was before reading this book and i’m glad i didn’t, because reading her and robert’s story really gave me something to think about when i hear “artists in new york”.
This was such a beautiful elegy to their relationship that i cried while reading the last 20 pages, as someone who looked up to the life of an artist in the 50’s in new york, this book was so important for me to read.
