I don't give it 5 stars because of the bits of romance (I generally don't like romance in these types of books).
But I actually really loved this. I don't read this genre much, but I'm so glad I decided to give this one a chance.
I am HOOKED.
And, yes, Brown is right, I'm 90% sure that I'm going to bloodydamn love these books.

I did get emotional. I relate to Mickey in a lot of levels.
As most of the times with this kind of books, first half was great, second half not so much. I'm not saying it's bad, far from it, it's just not what I was expecting I guess?
Still, pretty good book.

I mean, I am not certain I will read all the books in this series, I might DNF some or just read to a certain point and then abandon it altogether, but for now these are not bad.
The characters are interesting, and although the romance and sexual tension doesn't enthrall me enough to keep reading these, the plot does. The secrets that Malcolm and Seong-jae have? Yes, I need to know everything NOW.
I might need some light cute little romcom rn after these, or maybe a light fantasy, idk when I'll come back to read the next one.
