I have a lot of respect for this book existing and hope it clears the path for more Indigenous rom coms to get traditionally published. I didn’t hate this and found the chemistry between the main characters to be well done, but I could not handle the lies. I know that was kind of the point to this plot, but there were so many little things that Ember did not have to lie about and it made it really difficult to like her.
