I appreciate listening to memoirs read by the author, and this was no different. While understandably stilted and unreliable at times, the incredible vulnerability was compelling, as were the choices made to distance themselves from the Royal Family.

Solid romance, fun story with an interesting spin on the classic tropes of celebrity/bodyguard.

This book is fascinating and I really loved how it unfolded. Some of the chapter shifts to other perspectives or storytelling were really great, although some got a bit unwieldy in the last third. Overall a great exploration of complicated friendships and we grow with and around trauma.

I can't thank the friend who told me to do the audiobook enough, as with a full voice cast, the interview-style book really came alive with its cast of characters. A powerful read and much different perspective given to the memoir/historian look at musicians on the rise in the 1970s.

It's probably one of the better of Ruth Ware's latest books, somewhere in the top third. Really enjoyed it, even if some parts were predictable, but a few good twists as always.

I found the premise fascinating and complex, an interesting twist on gender dynamics and the different ways society might change if power switched hands. It was dark and occasionally violent, as one might expect, but overall very compelling read.
