Found myself cringing quite a few times while reading and while I thought Violet was an okay character throughout most of the book, her character took a dive at the end.
I get it, there were times Cole was an a-hole ad I loved when she put him in his place, but whatever she did at the end...I hated it. And her reasoning for how she behavioured was so dumb, it honestly just sounded loke someone justifying their own crappy behaviour.
I can't believe she actually made the way he was reacting to trauma all about whether or not he loved her enough or about their relationship. How Violet in the same breath thinks about how no one had gone out of their way to check on or love him and then also ignoring all that he experienced in his life, is beyond me?
