The Nanny by Lana Ferguson

Lana Ferguson knows how to write some steaming hot sex scenes.  That's the only reason I kept reading.  That, and the kinky IMs between the two characters.
Everything else about this book drove me absolutely insane.  #1) NO FUCKING 10 YEAR OLD acts like that!!! The child character could have passed if she was written as a 6 year old. 7 year old would be pushing it.  But, no ten year old in today's society acts like this one.  (trust a teacher)
#2) The author has either had a brief visit to San Diego, or has never been.  NOBODY eats at the Hotel Del Coronado, unless you have money pouring out your ass.  There are so many fun places to eat in Coronado, and the Hotel Del is just not an option, especially for a poor nanny.  Also, there is a difference between the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park.  I can't remember the other San Diego specific issues, but these were terrible enough.
#3) The FMC was incredibly annoying.  Her insecurities are 80% of the book - when she's not actually fucking the dude, she's feeling insecure.  It was exhausting.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book.  It was a free audiobook on Kindle Unlimited.  I've never read this author before. Both main characters were fun to read. It was great to see them both change and grow.  I agree with another reviewer who said the song lyrics mixed throughout were kind cringe.

Pretty much what you would expect from a bully romance.  I'm enjoying the series.  I'll probably continue.

I could not relate with the female main character at all.  Her massive temper tantrum over the fact that her husband helped was ridiculous.  She was like a three year old yelling at their mom because they want to butter their own bread "all by myself."

I absolutely adored the two other books I've read by Holly June Smith (Can I Tell You Something &  One More Gift).  But, this one fell a little flat.  There was so much unnecessary, drawn out miscommunication.  It was like the characters would be in the middle of a discussion that would somehow just end without one of them saying what they needed to say.  Then, they would go days without communicating.  Who does that?  I liked both of the characters and their dynamic.  But, finish a damn conversation before walking away!
