The book was definitely a little slow and it often felt like even the exciting bits were being told not shown. Despite that I did enjoy the overall story and absolutely loved Rocky.

Overall, I enjoyed this different take on a non-fiction book. I was hoping to get a little more history interspersed rather than it fed through the lives of some fictional characters but it was certainly a creative approach.

This was simultaneously the most intriguing and heartbreaking story I’ve read in a while. The account of the events truly show how quickly things can turn in one of the most inhospitable environments. It also shows the difference between who we believe we are and who we are revealed to truly be in difficult moments.
