I was really getting into this book then the third act happens….that’s were everything falls apart. The parts of the book that don’t impose on itself is fresh and enjoyable. Yet the soap opera of a third act takes away from that feeling. I love the concept of this book, but it feel flat to me.
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Had high hopes for this book, started strong then kinda dived into a john wick type of book. Which i wasn’t ready for, the main character Nina is a conflicting one that kinda undermines her own actions. Overall cute but lacking.
This is the most I’ve ever been confused in a book. As a cyberpunk fan I thought getting into this book would be entertaining. The book gets you at some points and on others your totally confused. Anyway I can appreciate what this book has done for the genre, I’d just wait for the show to come out to enjoy this story.
Didnt expect much from this, I thought was just going to be a art book with a few explanations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The lore in this truly makes me forget that this is for a video game, it also answers questions I’ve had for a while. Hope to see a ultimate edition of this with some stuff about dogtown.
I thought this was going to be a poly love story, albeit no I had fun with one. My first time reading a bachelor style book, it was good. My only gripe is that there would be moments that dragged on longer then needed but besides those it was a fun read.
I had to had to search up a summary for the rest of this book(50% done) and the way it pissed me off to know what the big mystery was. It started off great but then plunged into things I couldn’t care less about. Alex as a protagonist is great, I truly enjoyed her character but it can’t distract how this book drags. Trust me I like this book but I truly don’t think I’d read hell bent in full.
Was very excited to read this, didn’t disappoint. My gripe came with a very quick plot, I felt like there wasn’t time to get to know the characters more. Though I’m glad to see more black fantasy/romance, would read the rest of the series.
