Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson

The final chapter is a perfect reflection on all that it is to be a human in this amazing universe. It is certainly possible to SIMULTANEOUSLY feel infinitesimally small and definitively significant, and Tyson describes that throughout his chapters. The first chapter proves tough to keep up with, you find yourself digging to the recesses of your brain to your sophomore earth science class. However, I couldn't put this down. I would entrust this kind of subject matter and this sort of gentle walkthrough of the entire history of space and time to no other scientist or author that I know.
