Absolutely beautifully written! Such an amazing book. I think that it is such a testament to Madeline Miller that she can write such an interesting book while the main character is exiled to an island.
The character building of Circe is simply amazing throughout as well.
I would definitely recommend to people who enjoy Greek mythology with a feminist twist.

I think many people would get intimidated by the size of this book and I left it months after I bought it to read it. But I am so so glad I did read it. It was so amazingly written with such incredible diverse characters.
This was such a good introduction to high fantasy!!
I would sell my soul for all the characters in this book but 100% Ead and Sabran.
This book has literally everything you want: dragons, lesbians, witches, badass women.

One of my favourite books of all time. I absolutely adore this book. It is so beautifully written.
It is simultaneously funny, sad, inspiring and thrilling. I love the way that Evelyn is unapologetically herself whilst everyone around her is trying to push her into a box.

1000% recommend!!

I loved this book!! Simply one of the best out of the grishaverse books.
There’s found family troupe, heists, adventure and gay romance.
I can’t put into words how simply amazing these characters and storyline is.
Trigger warnings for abuse & tragic backstories.

This broke my heart in two and stitched it back together again. It’s simply amazing. Leigh Bardugo is a genius but I will be asking her to pay for my future therapy. I love these characters so much and the plot is simply amazing!

This was fantastic. It changed my thinking towards myself and others. I love this book so much and often find myself thinking back to it and looking through it to re read passages. The chapters come with Florence Given’s own drawings which are beautiful and inspiring!

4.5 stars!
This was a very well written romance and coming to age story for young lesbians. This book made me feel so seen and I really loved reading Lily realising who she was.
I really enjoyed this book and learnt so much about Chinese and American history in the 1950’s.

There are some definite things I didn’t enjoy, I didn’t think that the use of the N-word in the book, though historically accurate, was not necessary at all. Whilst I enjoyed the flashbacks to Lily’s parents, I also would get annoyed when they would come in between chapters where there were cliffhangers.

Overall I really loved the book. I thought the romance, the plot-line, the writing and the character arc was amazing! I would definitely recommend.
