I LOVED THIS BOOOKKK i absolutely ADORE madeline miller and her writing. i haven’t read many things about greek mythology, the most notable are her books. This one i think is an incredible introduction to the great witch circe. this book was the final thing to pull me into greek mythology. i’m very thrilled to see if or what she has in store next!

i really enjoyed this! the authors style of writing was extremely intriguing. i found the story to be fun to follow and it excited me to come back to it. however, i do not think ill find this book incredibly memorable. Although it was a good and important read, it most likely will not be more than a new perspective for me to think about. this could be because i normally don’t read these type of books.

i didn’t enjoy this to much in all honesty…. the guys unlikeable, which can be good at times, but he was just so horrible. i found it hard to read due to how much i disliked the main character. i’m surprised i didn’t DNF this book.

the authors ideals clash with my so heavily that i couldn’t bring myself to finish it. I also don’t find the writing or story to be up to the praise it was given.
