Doomsday Book by Connie Willis

This book is extremely hard to rate because half of it is the best historical fiction I've ever read and the other half is tedious, unnecessary and infuriating. I've decided to focus on the good part while rating.

I absolutely love a little speculative fiction book like this.  A great descriptive, mysterious setting and just a good story set in a slightly different world than our own.  This book sort of gives the same vibes as the sow Dark, but actually less dark.  I can't move on yet because I don't want to leave this world behind!
