This one wasn't my favorite in the series and I have a lot of mixed feelings about this volume...
I really love the art style and Kusakabe and Sajo's relationship always makes my heart melt! I was really looking forward to seeing what was next for these two after graduating school.

But I ended up skimming through some of this book. I'm not a fan of Adult/minor relationships. Period. It just really creeps me out and it's not a cute or romantic at all. Also every time I think I'm done with Hara, that pedo keeps making an appearance in the series🙃 I could care less about this creeps love life. I didn't think it was necessary to have that in this volume.

This book put me through an emotional rollercoaster. But Funny Story was also one those few books that made me laugh out lol! (I'm trying to figure out what to write without spoling everything😅 so sorry if this is vague!)

Overall I'm really glad I decided to pick up this book!!! I've read 2 of Emily Henry's other books before, which I enjoyed. But this book in particular I really loved! I think a part of it was due to the humor l, but I also really fell in love with these characters and watching their character development grow throughout the story.

I love the dark atmosphere in this book! The mystery, characters, and even ghosts were some my favorite things about the story! I also loved how the ghosts played a part in the story, especially since Signa is surrounded by Death. Also the descriptions of this mansion our main character was sent to was beautiful. *chef's kiss*

I'm not gonna lie but I personally was more interested in the mystery and Signa's character development, rather than the romance in this book. Once the romance started becoming more prominent in the book, was starting to lose interest. (Don't get me wrong I love a good romance) But I was just kinda expecting more of a dark, Gothic novel with ghosts.😅👻 I think if might have been pacing, I would have loved to see the romance more as a slow burn and probably play out more in book 2. (Again that's my personal opinion)
