I enjoyed the concept of this story and the characters were lovable. But for me there was a disconnect between the gods, creatures and mortals. The gods were talked about a lot but they felt too intangible until the end. I spent most of the time wondering if they were just a spirit in the wind or if they were flesh and blood.
