I was nervous going into this book, as I loved Tristan & Morana, and didn’t really understand the relationship between Dante & Amara.

But WOW. I loved how RuNyx shows the whole timeline between Dante & Amara’s relationship - I felt more understanding of their characters and loved getting to know them. The plot definitely took a back seat for about 70% of the book, but the romance aspect made up for it (for me).

Dante is a literal mastermind, the way he always considered Amara as his future (even if he was a bit of an asshole sometimes) & was always there for her. Amara is the sweetest and her back story/all the shit she went through had me in tears 😭

Overall, I really enjoyed this one and I’m excited to see where the plot goes now that my couples are happy and in love !! Please search TW as well, this does get a bit dark.

I found the beginning really slow and too much focused on Morana & Tristan’s characters. But it definitely picks up! The relationship between Morana & Tristan is twisted & tense, but the development was chefs kiss. Plot was mysterious and a bit vague at times, with plot lines coincidentally being resolved fairly quickly, but the author has set it up for the rest of the series.
Additional star for the sibling dynamic between Morana & Dante, I loved them.

I loveeee this series !!

Stevie & Zanders are the epitome of a healthy relationship - the communication, the understanding & way they help each other through their trauma was so evident and heartwarming that there was never. a doubt that they loved each other.

When Elena Armas said this was a slow burn, she truly meant SLOW BURN; and as a slow burn lover, I ate this up. The relationship development between Adalyn & Cameron was so prominent, especially the way they both slowly wiggle into each other’s hearts.

I found both characters hard to sympathise with at the beginning, but through the book we learn more about their back stories and why they have their walls up, which they both slowly take down around each other. The banter and the forced proximity was so fun to read, I was eating up all the scenes.

There was something overall with the story that wasn’t gripping me (hence why the 3.5 stars) but it was an enjoyable read.

Thank you to Netgalley and Simon & Schuster for an arc in exchange for my honest review.

This book had me emotions raging and heart constantly breaking for Dorian. I’m not a Celaena/Chaol girlie so I definitely went through it during this book but I still loved all the characters.

The mystery, the betrayal and the plot build up all delivered and the ending had my brain exploding.

Such a good start to this series! The writing and imagery was well written and the plot buildup was really interesting.

Celaena is such a girlboss and I am a Dorian lover for life <33
