I loved this book. One of my favorites of the year so far. I loved the conversations between Dex and Mosscap, and Becky Chambers's writing style and descriptions of the sci-fi setting.

I flew through this book really fast. I think the message was powerful, moving, and inspiring. The beginning is very emotionally difficult to read, though.

Jade War was just as great as Jade City, but with more quiet planning scenes and less action (but the action scenes were unforgettable).

I originally read this when I was 12 years old and recently decided to reread it. I enjoyed it, but I remember enjoying it much more when I was 12. The pacing was slower than I remembered, but it did have the cottagecore vibes I was looking for too.
