The novellas were hella tense and kept me at the edge of my seat and I felt like I was RIGHT THERE with them, wasnât bored for a single page.
I wish that I wouldâve read this as the first book tho, not as the third, I wouldâve been able to connect to Celaena and the storyline a lot more from the beginning.
Celaena in the red desert? 10/10 Celaenaâs and Samâs story? 10000/10
I just finished bawling my eyes out, I love me a good cry âșïžđ€đŒ

I regret this so much Just wanna say âthat escalated quickly?â
Heâs so rich and tall and beautiful and strong and HEARTLESS, sheâs so small and fragile and naive and crushable âșïžâșïž that made me cringe a whole lot
At least the spice was spicinâ but otherwise this was just a big flop for me

This was..a rollercoaster..
I have to say I was excited and wanted to see where the story and characters would end up and I could kind of put myself in their situation and see why they would act the way they did.
The age difference was one thing but when he always called her a little girl and presented her as if she was small and fragile and everything ugh that made me feel physically ill. Also I get the whole âyouâre mine only and I possess youâ trope but it got annoying like chill out for a sec.
The slutshaming of her sister also wasnât for me and the chapters were so long.
All in all I did find the characters interesting, not lovable tho, and the story rounded up okay. But like I said I felt like it was wrong to listen to him constantly talk about how he wants to smash her and her âlittleâ body. I just wish that Penelope Douglas chose for Jordan to be a little older, then everything wouldâve seemed different.
I can't say a lot of negative things about this one: The chapters were really short and the story felt fast-paced, there wasn't a lot oft unnecessairy situations and we mostly just got right to the action, which was motivating to keep reading. I think SJM's writing gets better and better and is really easy to understand.
Chaols and Celaenas relationship was just so fun and wholesome to watch. The way they kept teasing each other and just were so in love made me smile. I looooved the plot of Dorian having magic and slowly understanding it better and better, it gave the book even more exciting turns and makes it feel magical.
Celaena is a really good female main character, she's empowering, independent, her reactions feel human and she's not the "small, little, fragile" girl. I think the way Nehemia's death was placed was really good and fitting and rounded up the story really well, even if it was pretty sad and emotional. I'm really looking forward to see how the characters and the storyline is going to develope within the next few books.

Ravi and Pip were really wholesome together, escpecially all the teasing. I found it to be really tense and exciting from like half way through the book, sadly the first half seemed to be a little boring. Also the YA-writing style once again wasn't really for me, but on the other hand, I foud the violence to be pretty graphic for a YA book.
What also didn't make any sense at all was that Ravi knew about Pip getting stalked and everything and he legitimately didn't do anything about it. He could have prevented all the stuff that happened to her but somehow NO ONE did anything about the situation. I know that the Plot wouldn't have happened the same if he did something about it but it just made the book really unrealstic. I think the murder coverup also took way too long, it started to get boring.
Nonetheless I was excited and I had a good time with this last volume. I found that Holly Jackson made the story round up really well and created the lines back to Andie Bell etc.

Fully five stars!!
I really loved this book even if it took me a whole week to finish because I found it to be thick. After all the time was so worth it.
The whole book was just so tense and emotional, I really ate it up. The moment when Rhys died and Feyre sat with him and criedâŠI cried with her, that really broke me. Also when the Suriel died, emotionally wrecked.
For me personally the war theme and how it was described by SJM was really exciting and interesting, I wasnât bored at all and found a lot of unexpected turns to happen. Her writing style was just as good as always and I really enjoyed my time with this book. She just gives a very good feeling of the world and the characters so you start to feel like youâre there with them and can connect to everything. I consumed the last 200 pages in one go because I just couldnât put it down.
I literally read this in like three days and my heart is just light, warm, and full of love. It contained funny lines, that made me giggle. I loved the time jumps and the way Emily Henry made their relationship and itâs development so relatable and humane. Where they finally kiss each other again??? Oh my god, got me giggling, screaming and kicking my feet!
Wyn was such a good and true male main character and Harriet was just so empowering and light and sympathetic. Their whole friend group just gave me the feeling of wanting to be part of them. Also the diversity of the characters, per example lesbians or ppl of color was also amazing to see. There were some really good and heartwarming true quotes that werenât cheesy or over exaggerated at all.
All in all I loved Emily Henrys writing style, I loved the storyline and the story coming to life in my head. Made me want to be in their world so bad. I just totally ate this up and felt lighthearted but still morally questioning society and family, this was the perfect mix. Totally recommend, especially when craving a little but still so fulfilling summery holiday second chance romance that makes you smile :)
