I throughly enjoyed this book. Every problem that I had with Weakside was fixed in this book. I really appreciated that it had more of a structured plot. Everything was executed in a enjoyable manner. I loved the tension build up. The angst was SO GOOD. I loved how the girls were constantly bonding and how involved Aasher’s teammates were in helping him.

It’s funny because I didn’t realize how much I was enjoying myself until I was trying to stay up later to keep reading. Something about S. J.’s writing is so freakin addictive.

I loved Riley and Aasher’s banter and how they were actively trying to get on the others nerves, but I truly fell in love with them during those skating lessons. In a book that’s quick and fun like this, having those emotional moments are everything. Seeing them being so in tune with each other, realizing each other’s potential and rooting for one another had me head over heels for them.

i saw someone say this book is about learning how to love & allow yourself to be loved, that sentiment perfectly in captures this book.  after a very traumatizing incident on the ice, rhys is trying to do his best to recover both physically and mentally. every time he tries to practice tho, he gets a panic attack.  in comes this very headstrong fiery figure skater, sadie. she happens to have been training at the same time that Reese has been going to the rink and one day she catches him mid panic attack.  from there, rhys starts to depend on her because she’s the only thing that makes sense to him. meanwhile, sadie’s trying to keep her distance but she feels this magnetic pull to him.  overtime rhys starts to learn what love really is and he starts to show that to Sadie. we get this back-and-forth struggle of sadie trying to let herself not only be loved but taken care of too. she’s afraid tho  because she’s always had to be that for other people.

i don’t know...there’s something about this book is so magical. it’s SO freaking beautiful that it brought me to tears at some  moments.

If I’m being honest, I wasn’t a fan of the set up of this book. There are little things about the first 50% that I’d change. I think Claire’s relationship with Theo’s teammates could have been executed differently. Like during the period that her & Theo were anti-each other, I think it would’ve  been funny if Claire found camaraderie with the boys. I definitely would’ve liked to read the scenes where the boys went to The Bex rather then to have been told about them. I think the “scrunchy on the door” scenes were funny but over done. Like I get it, he’s a playboy. That being said I really liked the tension build up between the two of them, it was a enough to keep me reading. Although, I do wish the fake dating started sooner, but that’s just me. From the 50% mark on, I throughly enjoyed Claire and Theo’s story. It truly saved the book for me. It was fast paced but attention grabbing. I genuinely could not put my kindle down. I was eating up every scene.
