Im so glad I didn’t read this before TOG because I found it very boring. I also think this book wouldn’t have be interesting at all was it not for the little Easter eggs referencing the first 3 books. As a first time reader, you will not understand what’s going on and it’s just gonna be a bland read. I read this after Heir of Fire and it was a decent filler, but not the most interesting to me.

Not gonna lie, the first book had me super skeptical if I was going to like this series, but I am soooo glad I continued!! I loved this book and the highs and lows it took us. Definitely will continue to book 3. AND HELLO PLOT TWISTTTT !!!!

i think it was a nice story, but i found it so incredibly boring. ACOTAR definitely ruined me, but apparently this was her very first book and her writing style develops into what we all know and love later on in the series. I’ll give the second book a try.
