I almost DNF'd this book like 10 times, then the last 80% was fantastic and I am so glad I didn't DNF it. 

The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay
Did not finish book. Stopped at 21%.

Why did we the author put unnecessary flashbacks right in the middle of the action happening in the present? I can't stand it.

It was alright. I hated Floyd...could he BE anymore annoying? They also did Ellie dirty with her plot wrap up.

You can’t see my over the top eye roll, but you can feel it through this review. The next time I even get a passing thought about DNFing a book, I’m just doing it. 

The Reformatory by Tananarive Due
Did not finish book. Stopped at 20%.

It was dragging on too long and I still had 400 pages left. I felt like the super natural element was cheapening the actual horror of this book which is living in Jim Crow south.

the dialogue was so cheesy that I knew this book wasn't going to be for me

Great book. There was not even one dull moment in the entire thing. I was intrigued and thoroughly entertained the entire time.
