This is my first Kristen Hannah novel because I knew that once I started reading her, I would have to read everything she’s ever written. This is truly a beautiful tribute, not only to the women who served in Vietnam, but all of our female soldiers. There are also so many parallels between the political climate during that time and today she did a beautiful job.

This book is absolutely gut wrenching. Jeannette dives into the trauma that was her life. I’m so glad she was able to find the help she needed. She also gives insight as to what it’s like to be a celebrity. She was deeply vulnerable in writing this book.
