Saw many tweets about this story so I tried reading it. The prologue intrigued me and I had a feeling that this will be about bestfriend turned lovers trope (and I'm a sucker for those), so I continued.

As the story progressed, I liked the build up of their romance. The author seems to know her readers' "kiliti" and even I got giddy with the main leads' scenes.

At first, I thought Troy was going to be the second male lead but then Harvin came into the picture so I thought it was him. But then came Atreus (and boy, I hate his character).

Sol's engineering journey was very relatable. The hardships and even her lines were so accurate since I'm also a struggling engineering student. It's hard to choose between passion and practicality. But I'm happy that she was able to achieve her dream because not everyone can do that. I was inspired by her determination to continue despite the challenges she faced.

I cried and was heartbroken with what they have gone through. Although I was confused with the plot at first but it became clear when I reached the epilogue.

I admit, the part where her mom killed her dad was unexpected and I didn't like it. This is just my opinion but everything just happened so fast, so out of the blue and there were no explanations or narrations how her mom ended up doing it. But it indeed depicts the harsh reality of life.

All in all, I liked it. For a beginner, the author knows what to do and I know she'll improve in the coming years.

Will I read the book 2 of the series? it's a YES!
