Going into this book I wasn’t sure if I would like it . I’m not a big fan of the teacher-professor/student trope . But this book did it in a way that didn’t feel predatory or inappropriate. I absolutely loved the character development between Sadie and Lucas . But Lucas especially, he learned a lot of truths he didn’t expect to and became a better man for it . Sadie went through a traumatic experience that should have made her want to repel men or romantic love but instead she was always open and willing to give men who didn’t deserve her the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to shake her and hug her so many times during my time reading . In the end I’m so happy she realized her incredible worth . The epilogues along made me cry happy tears . So much love for the Goode family minus Truett (that man is beyond awful ). Can’t wait for Issacs book! I have a feeling he will be my favorite Goode brother !
